Expertise

Michelle Meyer's research employs four complementary methodological approaches to study judgment, decision‑making, and ethics at the intersection of medicine, science, technology, and policy. Her work includes laboratory research using surveys, survey experiments, qualitative methods, and retrospective data such as electronic health records; pragmatic field experiments testing behavioral science–informed interventions for patients and clinicians; empirical legal research analyzing laws and regulations across jurisdictions; and normative ethics scholarship addressing issues in learning health systems, genetics and genomics, artificial intelligence, clinical care, and public health. Across these domains, her work integrates empirical and ethical analysis to inform better health outcomes and policy decisions.
