Expertise

Shuping Ge, MD, FACC, FASE, is the system chair of pediatric and adult congenital cardiology at Geisinger. His research focuses on advanced cardiovascular imaging for the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease, including real-time three-dimensional echocardiography, two- and three-dimensional speckle tracking strain analysis, and the application of artificial intelligence in imaging. He also studies fetal cardiovascular disease, incorporating quantitative fetal echocardiography and computational fluid dynamics to better understand fetal circulation and congenital heart conditions. In addition, his work emphasizes the prevention of cardiovascular disease beginning in childhood, with a particular interest in leveraging artificial intelligence to support early detection and prevention strategies.
